A rush of inspirations: the painting of a row of beach houses I look at every day, visits to the South West coast (past and present), beachcombing, the waltz and old ballroom songs, hauntology and The Caretaker, re-reading love letters, old film, young romance, vintage postcards, the golden age of cinema, fading dreams and memories of my grandmother.
